SABO S.A. modernizes production line in Colombia at Ladrillera La Clay
SABO S.A. is still present in the Latin American market and this time has managed to conquer Colombia with a small project, regarding with a very important client for the market of the Caribbean region in this country, as it is the company Ladrillera La Clay, that after hard work and several visits to the existing plant, was interested in modernizing its lines and improve the product quality as well as reduce the manipulation of its production process with emphasis on the settings of the products.
The project began to mature by the company in March 2015, where they had participated several European and also Brazilian companies in automatic equipment for the brick industry sector, the results after different conversations between the client and the companies were very favorable for SABO, which ultimately its decision was in favor of SABO S.A. to undertake the installation of a setting machine with a robot with capacity 400 ton / day of brick, giving also the possibility to the line that in a future could be increased up to 600 ton / day of fired material.
Once the contract is closed permanently, SABO begins to manufacture its machines according to the needs expressed by the customer from the beginning for its basic material hollow brick. After the manufacture of machinery the client wanted to add on the progress 4 more products of structural brick, which generated a new request for technical study in order to add these materials that were not anticipated at the outset but successfully were programmed so that the line was able to produce them without affecting the progress that had already arrived in the project execution.
The customer has a line of static chambers which unload the shelves with dry material by hand, on 2 benches with parallel chains which are connected with a roller programming bench that organized the layers to be duplicated in a station with gripper, performing the function of grouping 2 layers one above the other so as to be transported to the point where the robot receives and collocate them on the kiln cars so that 5 packets to be stacked by two rows on the car.
As a result the process at this point is to be automated whereas before were needed nearly more than 30 people in total to perform this task in a 16-hour shift, plus the increased product quality as well as the decline markedly decreased.
The support and relationship between SABO and the client has been strengthened owing to the hard work and the interest that SABO always demonstrates to our customers by adding the quality which treated them for solving the problems and according to their requests, therefore it is one more reason that we continue making the difference in important markets like this and in the following projects which we have to attend in this country so compromising.
