The project involved the modernization of unsetting and packaging area. Sabo replaced the existing conventional grippers for unsetting kiln cars and loading products on the pallets with Robotized systems.

One Robot was installed for unsetting the kiln cars layer by layer which unload the bricks from the kiln cars and deposit them on a new programming bench for fired material.

On the programming bench the preparation of final layers is done. The bench is also equipped with a tilting unit for tilting the products when is necessary.
Then the second robot is taking over the loading of the final pallets with fired material.

Sabo also installed a complete chain transportation system for empty as well for full pallets till the exit of the final packets for picking up with forklift. The machines are able to work with different type of pallets giving to the plant different options for final packs.

New kiln car movement was installed ensuring the accurate positioning of the cars at the unloading position.
All the machines were designed able to work with all different types of products that the plant producing. Also, the line is completely ready for incorporating a future grinding line for blocks.

The project was completed successfully end of March 2016 meeting all the capacity and quality targets.

The scope of supply was the modernization of dryer cars unloading line and kiln cars setting line.

Sabo installed a new chain conveyor for transferring the laths with dry material from the existing unloading elevator.
A new robot with double gripper is unloading the dry blocks from the laths and put them on the programming bench.

The existing programming bench is modified with the addition of a new part ensuring the correct programming of bricks and able to accept the installation of a tilting unit in the future.

After programming, the layers of bricks are transferred to the final conveyor bench through a pushing system and the new setting Robot takes over the loading of the bricks on the kiln cars. The flexibility of the robot gives the chance to have several different settings on the kiln cars and handling the total range of produced materials. The fixation of the kiln car at the exact loading position is done by a centering system ensuring the stable positioning of the car during loading.

A new gripper was installed for handling the empty laths and feeding the wet side or storing the empty laths at the storage area.

The project involved except of installation of new equipment the usage of existing equipment too. Sabo undertook also the supply of new electric boards and programming of the whole dry side and dryer cars movement ensuring in such way the efficient operation of the line.

Special attention was given to the designing of the access platforms around the machines and the placement of the protection fences.

The project was completed successfully end of March 2016 meeting all the capacity and quality targets.
