SABO S.A. is proud to announce the latest modernization of the Wienerberger România Berca Factory, one of their key production sites!
Since our first collaboration in 2008, when SABO implemented advanced robotic automation and dryer equipment, we've been committed to optimizing the factory’s performance. In 2017, further upgrades were made with a robotic unsetting and packaging line on the fired side, boosting efficiency even further.
Now, in 2024, we are again at the forefront, introducing cutting-edge robotic automation and utilizing servo motors for loading and unloading bricks on the wet and dry side of the factory. These systems provide greater flexibility, reduce maintenance, and increase precision.
Additionally, SABO’s automation systems now bring the high-efficiency dryer to life, ensuring smooth, reliable product movement within the dryer. The factory is now equipped with SABO’s latest electronic cutter, the most advanced model in our portfolio, designed for maximum precision and durability.
Furthermore, many other small enhancements have been made to the existing automation to increase productivity: for enhanced ergonomics and safety, camera observation systems have also been installed in key positions to assist the operators. Altogether, this reconstruction covers about two-thirds of the Factory’s automation, representing a significant milestone in its modernization.
As part of efforts to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 4.000 tons annually, the new high-efficiency dryer, developed by Wienerberger, plays a central role, however, SABO has also contributed to kiln optimizations with our high-temperature air intake burner system, further reducing emissions and enhancing overall performance.
