Our Heavy Industry Dpt. just completed the design, construction, installation & commissioning of new equipment combined with conversions and upgrading of the existing one, in an aluminium slab treatment line.
The project was implemented by SABO's experienced technical team and includes a new roller conveyor for transferring aluminium slabs of 40 tn, a travelling system including hydraulic grippers – tongs for lifting the slabs along with the steel structures installed.
For the integration of the new equipment into the existing conventional line, an intervention and total upgrade of the automation software of the line was carried out. The system has been fully tested to ensure proper operation and safety, based on strict specifications in a demanding production environment.
