At SABO S.A. we are thrilled to have contributed to a groundbreaking project in the Heavy Clay Industry. The installation of the World’s First Fully Electric Kiln for Block Production at Wienerberger’s plant in Uttendorf, Austria. Powered entirely by green electricity, including energy generated from an on-site photovoltaic system, this kiln reduces CO2 emissions by 90% and lowers overall energy consumption by a third.
Key Highlights of SABO services:
Cutting-edge Automations by SABO:
- Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGVs) - Engineered in collaboration with Gruppo TecnoFerrari S.p.A.
- Servo and Vacuum Gripping Systems, Advanced Servo Motion Technology.
Innovative Machines: We developed and implemented the “first of a kind” machines
responsible for transporting products to and from the kiln.
Sophisticated Transportation Systems: We studied and designed innovative automation to handle the specialized materials required for the electric kiln process, including custom handling systems for SiC bars and refractory slabs.
Why This Project Matters:
This project is more than an accomplishment. By significantly reducing CO2 emissions and energy use, it sets a new benchmark for the heavy clay industry while highlighting the potential of advanced technology to drive environmental progress. At SABO, we take pride in delivering high-performance automation solutions that address the evolving needs of modern industry.
We sincerely thank Wienerberger for their leadership in sustainable construction and ONEJOON Group for their know-how in kiln technology. This collaboration underscores the importance of teamwork and shared vision in delivering transformative projects.
